I know it's mid February already, but I just had to share this. Maybelline has the most beautiful calendar out for 2013 and the pictures used in it is not the general generic 'glamour shots' that we are so used to glaring back at us, nor is it sickly sweet pictures of models in every day situations. I mean, seriously, who looks that glamorous doing, well, EVERYTHING! This is a calendar with a difference. I can't stop looking at the pictures. Every single one is truly a piece of art. At the end of every month I am tempted to frame the picture. Here's a few of my favourites, enjoy!

Most cherished possession
I tried to think of what I cherished most dearly when it comes to my clothing, accessories etc. What is that one piece I'll actually miss if I lose or heaven forbid it gets stolen. It took some thinking as I love my Jimmy Choo bracelet (courtesy of an ex whatever), a few heels, that if they go missing, I would actually break down, a ring that my old roommate, from my time in the UK, gave to me, a silly rubber bangle that was given to me by an ex to remember him by......the list goes on and on....but ultimately I realised it's something I use on a daily basis and never give a second thought to. My Michael Kors sunglasses :). I love them so much and I can't physically function without them. I even wear sunglasses during wintertime as my eyes are super sensitive.
Eyewear is not only aesthetically pleasing, but they protect our eyes from the sun's harmful rays. They prevent us from squinting and thus also wrinkles. And let's face it, a good pair goes with every outfit and hides a multitude of sins. I favour the Jackie O style and basically half my face is covered by them and feel quite naked if I forget them when in a hurry.
It is interesting to know what other people just can't go without. What's your fashion piece?
The Mullet Dress
I will admit it sneaked up on me. I have been attracted to the Mullet dress for some time now but, I have never realised how many of these I actually have. Going through my wardrobe at the weekend confirmed my absolute obsession with it.
I would not have thought that I would favour anything which contains the word 'mullet' in its title i.e. the hairstyle. No thank you.
Yet the Mullet dress or skirt is so flattering, sensual and feminine on every level. If you don't have one yet, I recommend a retail therapy session with your besties.
