The new Lancôme Teint Visionnaire Foundation

on Tuesday, May 14, 2013

A couple of weeks ago I received a great little package from the lovely L'oreal team. I was super excited when I opened it to find the new Lancôme Teint Visionnaire Foundation. Yes, I am a typical girl therefore perfume and makeup always brighten my day.

Being the good girl (blogger) that I am, I took some time to read the press release before washing my face and reapplying my makeup using this beauty. I first wanted to see what the product was really all about. And besides, I have super sensitive skin, I physically can't use just any product.

I was instantly sold by the packaging. It's gorgeous and even has a mirror in the flip lid :) Brilliant. From what I read, this foundation was inspired by what women all over the world consider the perfect complexion to be. According to their research it includes
a) an even skin tone
b) a smooth texture to the skin
c) a vibrant skin tone
d) balanced skin (not too dry or oily)

Being a low maintenance girl (when it comes to beauty products) I love this product as it is a two-in-one. The less fuss the better I say. Firstly you have the corrector in the flip lid which also contains a handy mirror. Its purpose is to correct dark spots, those pesky under eye circles and really anything else that bugs you. When you're done with your touch ups, take off the lid completely and voila, you can start with your foundation. Easy peasy. The best thing I found about this is that it does not only give you great and light coverage, but also works to smooth your wrinkles and refine your pores while you go about your business.

I am not old enough to have more than the odd laugh line, but my mum told me that I needed to start taking precautions already. Instead of having three or four different products to apply every night (and let's face it, I am way too lazy to go through my entire beauty routine EVERY night) I now have one product. Happiness.

I have been using it and it does not irritate my extremely sensitive skin - bonus points. It really does give maximum coverage but still look and feel light. No caked on makeup here. They promise that you will start to see a difference in your skin within four weeks, super excited for that as it is almost four weeks for me. All the science behind it was explained, but all I really care about is results as I am sure you are too.

Give it a try, it's pretty and it does what it says. You have nothing to lose but so much to gain.

I heart Stila

I absolutely love it when I find little gems to add to my makeup drawer. A whole bunch of beauty bloggers were raving about the Stila Colour Balm a couple of weeks ago. Never having tried it, I didn't have an opinion. Until now.

While doing my weekly shop last week I saw it on the shelves. The gorgeous packaging drew me in. It is so shiny and as you all know I am easily distracted by shiny things. I just had to try one of the testers.

A lovely sales lady helped me and made sure that I familiarised myself with all the colours. I was a little mesmerised to be honest. I believe that a great lip colour can brighten any day and zoosh up any dreary outfit. With winter so close it is always a welcome addition to my wardrobe.

I chose 'Ruby' as I am a bit of a dramatic character. It's been about a week since I made one mine and I absolutely LOVE it. The colour stays put and it still has that old school lip balm charm so it keeps your shmoochers moist. I recommended it to all my friends and now to you. Best of all is there is a colour to suit everyone!
