It is every girl's dream for a clothing shop to kick everyone out and let her run wild and shop to her heart's content. This dream still lives on well into adulthood. This week, my dream came true. Mr Price in Sandton City held a special event to launch their new range with Anisa Mpungwe.
Armed with bubbly and a voucher, they gave us free reign of the store. Talk about a fun evening! We stormed the clothing line and I was just grateful that they had my size. Assessing all the clothes and shoes with my fellow fashionistas, we headed for the fitting room which was naturally transformed into a catwalk and photography studio with all of us giving each other advice and admiring the clothes.
I feel like Mpungwe actually designed this range specially for me as I would wear every single one of the pieces in the collection. It was kind of like when you hear a love song after a break up and it feels like the lyrics speak to you. This range spoke to me.
All in black, mustard yellow and beige tones with some retro prints in between, you can mix and match the pieces with each other. I feel like a character from Mad Men in the two gorgeous dresses I bought. There are accents of faux leather on the sleeves of some of the tops and dresses, which gives a modern edge to the clean lines. I cannot wait to wear my faux leather skirt.
I haven't been this excited about a line for a very long time. She also has some shoes to compliment the line. After the exhaustion set in from the shopping, we were spoilt even further with sushi, deserts and very yummy macaroons.

The line launched today (17 October) in stores and it's a limited edition. You definitely do not want to miss out on having one of her beauties hanging in your cupboard.
